	Abies Balsamea Common Name: Balsam Fir Tree Zones 3-6 Grows 45-75' high Symmetrically, pyramidal tree with 1/2" to 1" lon dark green needles with two silver bands on the underside. When young, it has 2" - 4" long cones which aredark biolet and turn gray-brown with maturity. The species does best in well-drained, moist, acid soils and appreciates some protection from harsh winds. Grows 20 to 25 feet wide.
	Acer Platanoides Common name: Crimson King Maple Tree Zones 4-9 A large round-headed tree that thrives in a wide range of soils. This slow growing Maple has deep purplish foliage.
	Acer Palmatum Common name: Japanese Maple Tree Zones 4-10 Grows to around 12' Wonderful specimen tree. This small deciduous tree is slow growing and will reach approx. 15' in 10-15 years. The leaves are finely dissected and are a beautiful shade of red all season.Should be planted in sun to partial shade and where it is protected from the wind. At the garden center we have several varieties of Japanese maple.
	Acer Saccharum Common Name: Sugar or Hard Maple Deciduous Tree Zones 3-8 Grows to 20' in 10-12 years. Mature growth is 75'. Slender oval headed deciduous tree with a moderate growth rate. Leaves are green in spring and summer, turning colors of yellow, orange and red in fall. Plant in moist well drained soil. Does not tolerate sand and salt used on roads in winter time. Also sensitive to road pollution. Therefore it is not a good choice for roadside planting. Full sun.
	Amelanchier Canadensis Common names: Shadblow or Juneberry Tree Zones 4-8 Open oval headed deciduous tree. Fast growing with single or multiple trunks. Height to reach 15-18' in 5-7 years, matures to 20 -30', spreads to 10-15'. Flowers in early spring , white flowers by tiny red-purple fruit in early summer. Plant in moist well drained soil. Water well during dry spells. Full sun or light shade.
	Betula nigra- River Birch Tree Zones 2-10 Grows to around 20' in approx. 10 years; mature size- 60-70' Fast growing ,loose-headed,upright, deciduous tree. Single or multiple trunks. Bark is a red-brown color, becoming torn and shredded on mature trees. Leaves are oval and pointed pale green when young, becoming mid-green with gray undersides. Golden yellow in fall. Plant in full sun in moist or wet soil.
	Betula pedula - Young's Weeping Birch Tree Zones 3-10 Grows to around 15-30' Fast growing irregularly shaped weeping tree. Bark is white with black ridges after 4-5 years. Leaves are diamond shaped, light green with lighter undersides. Fall color is golden yellow. Use as an accent plant. Grows best when planted in full sun in wet or dry soil.
	Diospyros Virginiana Common Name: Common Persimmon Tree Zones 4-9 Grows 35-60' high Very tough species that survives even under difficult conditions. Difficult to find at Garden Centers usually has to be transplanted from the wild. Pyramidal to oval-rounded in outline with dark green 2"-5.5" long leaves. Leaves turn yellowish to reddish purple in fall and the bark is gray-black. Fragrant, white flowers in May and June. Produces 1"-1.5" yellowish red to pale orange edible berries in the fall. Will adapt to extremely dry soil. Male trees are non-fruit producing. Grows 20 - 35 feet wide.
	Ginkgo Biloba Common Name: Maiden Hair Tree Decidous Tree Zones 4-10 Mature size 50-80' Slow-growing decidous tree with asymmetrical vertical branches. Will reach mature growth in about 20 years. An 8-10' tree will grow to around 20' in 12-18 years. The fan shaped leaves are smooth and green with a leathery texture. their fall color is a brilliant yellow. This tree is free of insects pests and diseases. Grows best in full sun.
	Malus (May -lus) Common name: Crabapple Tree Zones 4-8 Grows 15-25 ft. The crabapple is a small tree with a rounded head of pointed oval leaves. In spring they are covered with pink or white flowers followed by pea sized fruit that remains through fall. They do well if planted in full sun and moist but well drained soil.
	Picea glauca 'Conica' Common name: Dwarf Alberta Spruce Tree Evergreen Zones 3-8 Grows to approx. 7' in 25-30 years This dwarf evergreen makes a wonderful accent tree. It's short needles are tightly placed and light green. It has a symmetrical, conical shape. Plant in moist and well drained soil. Full sun. Will need to be lightly sheared to retain shape.
	Quercus Palustris Common name: Pin Oak Tree Zones 4-10 Grows to approx. 75' Fast growing, symmetrical, pyramidal tree known for its crimson fall color. Slender branches with deeply cut glossy-green foliage (until turning in the fall). Prefers rich moist soil and full sun. Easily established.
	Tsuga Canadensis Common name: Canadian Hemlock Tree Zones 4-7 Grows to 12-16' in 10 years Broad pyramid with arching, drooping branches, with a very fast growth rate. Evergreen the hemlock an either be left to grow naturally or pruned for a more formal look. Grows in full sun or shade. This tree is an excellent selection for a natural privacy fence.
